a simscape™ model of an aileron actuation system that performs well in desktop simulation is reused for hil testing. the model includes a motor, motor driver, analog circuitry for the speed and current controller, and a three-dimensional mechanical model of the aileron, all within the simulink^® environment. the configuration steps include enabling the simscape local solver, verifying speed and accuracy of the fixed-step simulation, and converting to c code. simulink coder™ is used to convert the model to c code, and simulink real-time™ is used. when the model is running on the real-time target, values of simscape run-time parameters are modified directly on the target without regenerating c code.
